This photo shoot included a Thanksgiving dinner without the turkey or ham. Instead of the customary food shoot, Tonka Times magazine was looking for an authentic, wild game dinner. This meant shooting everything as it would occur in a normal kitchen, from the preparation of the dinner to it being served and enjoyed by guests. Everything was quite natural, without studio lights and without a food stylist. We started shooting with available window light for the items ready to go. Then, as the guests arrived and the final preparations were taking place, we shot as the evening unfolded. I’m very thankful for being invited to sit and partake of a wonderful meal (even the brussel sprouts were tasty) and lively conversation. Hats off to Kiersa and her culinary skills. There are some great perks to this job!
