Milky Way And Fireflies.
During this 2020 session, I had the camera and tripod (a hefty 13# Gitzo from my 4×5 days) over my shoulder, heading back in for the night when the clarity of the Milky Way caught my attention. Usually our best Milky Way viewing is in the winter when forest fires are extinguished, and humidity is low. Yet, here I was in mid June, surprisingly looking up at our Milky Way. Imagine what a clear winter night would have produced.
