Over the past decade I’ve photographed numerous fitness and exercise books, but none had this much aerial work. For this session with John Bruney (he’s the big man) and his fitness models (Adrienne Harvey & Matt Maher) from Florida and New Jersey, we spent three days in studio taking almost 500 different photos. While John uses a variety of apparatus, including sledge hammers, for his exercises, kettlebells are at the core of his fitness program. John can swing a pair of 100# kettlebells and make it look easy. I can hardly move one of these large kettlebells, which they call the Beast.
